1. TRAVEL BOOKINGS

  • All bookings can be made through Cruisetag either via a) Cruisetag web quote me form, b) telephonically on 011 7595156 or C) via email info@cruisetag.co.za. All bookings are subject to Cruisetag’s cancellation policy,
  • All quotations are valid for the dates specified and are subject to adjustment if the services quoted for are not available at the time of booking, or should the traveller change the duration of the trip or service types. Changes to the quotation, requested by the traveller, that incur additional costs will be charged to the traveller. Prices are also subject to adjustment in the event of changes in government imposed taxes, fuel prices, air fares, cruise charges, tourism levies and/or the introduction of national, regional or local taxes or levies of whatever nature. Prices for the services of sub-contractors/third parties may vary, however such changes will be communicated in writing to the traveller where possible. Acceptance of the quotation will be regarded as acceptance of Cruisetag’s Terms and Conditions of business.
  • Once cruise reservations have been confirmed, the third party supplier has the right to substitute cruises listed with others of a similar or higher category at no additional cost to the traveller, even after departure from South Africa. All facilities, amenities and activities are subject to change at the respective cruises without prior notice.
  • Special requests must be requested at the time of booking. We, and our partners, will endeavour to comply with the special requests, however, cannot guarantee that they will be met.
  • On confirmation of all bookings, you will be required to complete and sign a booking form. A non-refundable deposit of between 30% - 40% of the total tour price is payable within 72 hours of confirmation of the booking. This deposit will be in addition to the price (including departure taxes) for the air fare which must be paid for by the specified date, stipulated by the airline. The balance of the invoice will be payable in full 8 weeks prior to departure.
  • All cruise prices are guaranteed once full payment has been received, except where subsequent increases are beyond the control of Cruisetag and their providers. Air fares are subject to the prices and conditions quoted by the airline and cannot by guaranteed by Cruisetag and their preferred partners. Cruisetag acts as an intermediately to our principles and cannot be held responsible for any increases, cancellations or changes effected by these principles.
  • All prices EXCLUDE departure taxes, cruise insurance and port taxes and are listed separately as these prices change daily. Package prices only include items listed on the final confirmation.

2. PAYMENTS:

  • Cruisetag will accept payment for all cruise arrangements in cash, bank guaranteed cheques, EFT’s or credit cards, subject to certain criteria being met for EFT and credit card payments. Land arrangements can be paid via EFT only.
  • Payments must be effected timeously to meet payment clearance (bank guarantee and EFT payments) within time frames.
  • A non-refundable deposit between 30% - 40% of the total tour price is payable within 72 hours of confirmation of the booking. This deposit will be in addition to the price (including departure taxes) for the air fare which must be paid for by the specified date, stipulated by the airline.
  • Full balance is payable 8 weeks prior to departure

3. CANCELLATION AND CURTAILMENT

  • Cancellations are only effective on receipt of written notification.

4. CRUISE ARRANGEMENTS

  • From time of booking up to 8 weeks prior to departure, the deposit is forfeited. Cancellation fees during peak period being 20 December – 08 January, will be more stringent. Cancellation fees are as follows:
  1. Prior to 8 weeks:                                      Non-refundable deposit plus administration fee of R500 per cabin ex VAT
  2. 8 weeks prior to departure:                       40 % of total tour price
  3. 6 weeks prior to departure:                       60% of total tour price
  4. 4 weeks prior to departure:                       80% of total tour price
  5. 3 weeks prior to departure:                       100% of total tour price

5. AIR ARRANGEMENTS

  • Cancellation fees apply once tickets have been issued irrespective of departure date. These fees are usually between 25% - 100% dependant of the carrier used and type of tickets issued. Dependent of airlines certain taxes are refundable.
  • Should the traveller fail to take up the booking, no refund nor will credit be granted for unused services.

All travel arrangements, such as flight bookings, reservations of cruise & accommodation, reservation of motor transport and the like, made by Cruisetag are further subject to the booking conditions and cancellation provisions of the supplier thereof.  There terms & conditions can be requested at time of booking. It is suggested that clients take close notice of these.

6. AMENDMENTS

Amendments to confirmed reservations will be processed at a fee of R500 (including VAT) for each alteration made to the booking after the initial reservation. If notice of amendments is received within 8 weeks prior to departure, the above cancellation charges may be levied. Administration charges will be levied on all documents / vouchers submitted for re-issue or refund. Changes to air tickets once they have been issued, constitute an amendment.

7. DELAYS

Cruisetag or their preferred partners, does not hold itself responsible for any delays prior to departure nor during the trip, whether brought about by technical difficulties, strikes, weather conditions or any other circumstances whatsoever, whether foreseen or unforeseen. Any expenses relating to these unscheduled extensions will be for the travelers account (see insurance).

8. INSURANCE

It is a condition of booking that the traveller take up comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover them selves and dependants for the duration of their trip.

This insurance should include cover in the respect of, but not limited to the following eventualities:

  • Cancellation and curtailment
  • Emergency evacuation cost
  • Medical cover
  • Repatriation cover
  • Baggage insurance - optional

Cruisetag, including its representatives, employees and travellers will take no responsibility for any costs or losses incurred or suffered by the traveller, traveller’s dependants or travelling companions, with regards to, but not limited to, any of the above mentioned eventualities. Should the traveller not be carrying the relevant insurance cover, they may be charged directly by the relevant service providers for any emergency services they require, or may find themselves in a position unable to access such services.

9. TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Documentation is only prepared on receipt of full payment and a signed booking form & travel declaration. All travellers will be personally responsible for ensuring that they are in possession of the correct documentation prior to their departure. Cruisetag does not accept responsibility for any consequences whatsoever from a traveler failing to ensure that he/she has complied with the necessary travel requirements.

10. ITINERARY CHANGES

The company reserves the right to cancel the tour prior to departure, in which event the entire tour price paid by the passenger will be refunded without prejudice and any further obligation on the part of Cruisetag and their suppliers. Whilst every effort is to keep all itineraries, Cruisetag and the suppliers reserve the right to make any changes for the passengers convenience.

11. PASSPORT & TRAVELLING VISAS

The onus is on the traveller to ensure their passports are valid for travel and that they are in possession of valid visas for all countries being visited and that all necessary health certificates for these destinations are in order. Furthermore, the traveller must ensure that he/she has the necessary re-entry permits to entry South Africa. Cruisetag and its staff cannot be held liable for any visas, or costs thereof, not obtained by the traveller prior to departure.

The traveller shall be solely responsible for complying with the formalities required by police, customs, immigration, health and all other authorities at the point of arrival, departure and whilst in transit, in each and every country. Whilst Cruisetag will endeavour to provide the traveller, prior to departure, with the latest information concerning such regulations and restrictions it shall not be responsible and does not accept any liability for any inaccuracies or omissions in this regard.

12. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS

It is the travellers responsibility to ensure that all the required vaccinations and inoculations for the countries being visited have been obtained. Please note that many areas of travel within Africa and the Indian Ocean, & South America are Malaria areas and all travellers must consult their doctors before travelling and ensure that all anti-malarial precautions are taken, followed and advised upon at the time of travel.

13. AIRLINE INFORMATION

A baggage allowance of 1PC (not exceeding 23kg) per person is permitted on all international flights. Passengers re reminded that they are responsible for reconfirming of flights more than 72 hours prior to departure. Check-in time is 2 hours prior to departure. Failure to adhere to the above could result in off-loading or cancellation of your flight. The airline has the right to change seating arrangements due to aircraft changes and seating configuration.

14. AIRLINE RESPONSIBILITY

The airline concerned is not to be held responsible for any act, omission or event during the time the passengers are not aboard their aircraft. The passenger ticket in use by the airline, when issued, shall constitute the sole contract between the airline and the traveller. E-tickets do not carry the terms and conditions but should a client require these, Cruisetag will supply them on request.

15. CRUISETAG RESPONSIBILTY

The company acts as an intermediately only in producing and operating the tours, cruise and arrangements featured on the website www.cruisetag.co.za. Cruisetag acts as an intermediately only and therefore shall not be held liable for any loss, damage, injury, accident

16. GENERAL INFORMATION

  • Cruisetag reserves the right to decline, to accept, or to retain, any traveller as a member of any group or on any tour at any time as a result of the non-payment of any amount due in respect of such traveller or if such traveller interferes with any member of any group and/or causes a disturbance or nuisance.  Cruisetag and their suppliers also reserve the right to demand and/or claim money from the traveller in respect of their travels should any damage or deface to the property be caused due to the traveller’s behaviour.
  • All information contained on Cruisetag’s websites are to the best of Cruisetag’s knowledge correct, however Cruisetag accepts no liability for any inaccuracies contained therein.
  • Cruisetag shall not be bound by any representation, warranty, promise or the like not recorded herein or agreed to in writing by one of its directors. No representation, term, warranty or condition express or implied shall be considered to be or to have been made or agreed or implied by reference to any other writing, advertisement or conversation.
  • No addition to, variation, or agreed cancellation of these conditions shall be of any force or effect unless in writing and signed by a director of Cruisetag.
  • No indulgence that Cruisetag may grant to any party shall constitute a waiver of any rights of Cruisetag who shall not thereby be precluded from exercising any rights against the traveller which may have arisen in the past or which might arise in the future.
  • Any claim or dispute which may arise between any travellers and Cruisetag including any claim for loss or damage due to injury to person or property shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
  • In all matters where it is or may become necessary to have recourse to the court, the courts of the Republic of South Africa shall have sole jurisdiction to the exclusions of the courts of any other country and the law of the Republic of South Africa shall prevail.
  • By transacting with Cruisetag for any reservation constitutes consent by all travellers, covered by that payment, to all the terms, conditions and provisions stipulated by Cruisetag
