Quark have specialized in polar expeditions since 1991. They have  the largest and most diverse fleet of passenger ships in the Antarctic, and the only helicopter-equipped, polar-class icebreaker outfitted for expeditions in Antarctic waters. In the Arctic they journey well above the Arctic Circle. Each icebreaker is equipped with helicopters and Zodiacs. Their kayaking options allow guests to experience channels and bays through which our icebreakers cannot sail.

Many of Quark’s Expedition Team members have decades of experience in the Arctic and Antarctica, and are in polar history, marine biology and glaciology. Their onboard Hospitality Team can prepare meals and pour beverages during gale force winds.
